BEWARE OF THEM AND ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE A PERSON OF COLOR (I thought I was making my Dad happy by using them since he was a Black Panther and fought for black rights actively and was proudly a Vietnam Veteran, what a mistake I made). I would have given five stars if you all had your communication, empathy, and customer service in order. Waited 5 months with no communication in regards to my Fathers remains, did not receive the death certificates as was paid for and had to argue with them to provide what they said they would provide and what was paid for, them having the incorrect address for delivery when it was made verbally known on multiple occasions he was almost shipped to another state, then to top it off I called and tried to plan to pick it up or pay to have it sent to me and was then BLACK LISTED, NEVER CONTACTED BACK and then IGNORED completely for months while my Father SAT on a storage shelf and we HAD HIS FUNERAL WITH NO REMAINS. They overnighted him after I threatened to sue them and I WAS TOLD THEY LOST HIM BUT FOUND HIM THE SAME DAY I THREATENED THEM WITH A LAWYER ( THIS WAS SEVERAL MONTHS POST DEATH CERTIFICATE RELEASE FROM TAMPA GENERAL & CREMATION) Found out they've had numerous complaints of the same issues for years. Ray Williams Funeral Home was recommended after my Father passed unexpectedly and tragically from a terrible battle with Cancer. I "felt" like and was told by them everything was going to be taken care of and changes were made within a few processes concerning other key stakeholders and those went fine I was pleased. Until it came to RECEIVING my Father's cremated remains. FLORIDA just passed a law saying they can dispose of remains after 90 days of legal holding and THANK YOU GOD THIS WAS NOT HAPPENING THEN. I FEEL SICK FOR THE PEOPLE AND FAMILIES YOU ALL WILL THROW AWAY AND HAVE ALREADY BECAUSE YOU ALL ARE DONE WHEN THE BODY IS PAID FOR & REFUSED TO PROVIDE MY LAWYER WITH APPROPRIATE INFORMATION TO PROVE OTHERWISE! DISGUSTING HUMAN BEINGS!

They took care of every single detail with impeccable respect, making us feel supported and at peace throughout the entire process. I buried my mother today. I’m so thankful our family choose Ray Williams to handle the care of her. The professionalism and care was top notch. Donisha, Maressa, and Mr. Jeffrey L. Rhodes did an incredible job handling our request meticulous and delicately. The staff at Ray Williams Funeral Home is great! My mom passed away in FL and I requested to view her body before cremation. They waited for me to travel to Florida from Michigan and they took care in the way they set up my viewing. I was grateful for their empathy, care and humanity. Definitely a class act business!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I was highly recommended to Ray Williams funeral home after I was notified that my 27 year old son was found dead in his apartment after 4 days. I called the funeral home and was resassurred that not only would the director meet me at the hotel I was at but also help me find someone to clean out my son's apartment, which no mother should have to experience such a scene. I was "stood up". Not only did they not show to my hotel but I wasnt even given a courtesy call to reschedule. When I did call to see what the delay was, I was put on speaker phone for the whole office to hear as I expressed my disappointment with the way the whole process was handled. I was told I was overreacting and needed to go elsewhere...as if this were a hair salon. This business should be ashamed of the way they handle clients, truly a horrible experience!

Mr. Jeffrey Rhodes and his staff were friendly, compassionate, kind, and professional from start to finish. The entire staff provided outstanding service! They handled everything with the sensitivity and ease during this difficult time for me. At times I had to sign off on documents to complete everything and it was very difficult. I never felt rushed, or like it was business as usual. All the logistical items were clear, and they took the time to explain everything in detail. All of the arrangements were perfectly organized. They definitely took my feelings and emotions seriously and that was very much appreciated.
